Ukraine, At least 25 people, including three children, have died in a massive Russian attack using drones and missiles on the western Ukrainian city of Ternopil. According to Ukrainian rescue officials, the attack targeted two residential blocks. The assault also injured 73 people, including 15 children.
This is considered one of the deadliest attacks in western Ukraine since the start of the Russia-Ukraine war in 2022. Attacks were also reported in the western regions of Lviv and Ivano-Frankivsk. Information suggests that drone attacks caused damage in three areas of the northern city of Kharkiv, leaving more than 30 people injured.
According to officials in Lviv, a major energy facility there has been severely damaged. Photos published online show buildings and vehicles on fire. Ukraine’s air force claimed to have shot down 442 out of 476 drones and 41 out of 48 missiles launched by Russia.
