Kathmandu, In the past five days, 189,218 passengers have departed the Kathmandu Valley to celebrate the Dashain festival.
According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, these passengers left the valley on 29,360 public vehicles from Ashoj 1 to 5.
The police reported that passengers left through the Thankot, Saanga, Dakshinkali, and Balaju checkpoints. In recent days, there has also been an increase in the number of passengers at the New Bus Park in Gongabu.
This year, travelers are facing difficulties due to landslides on the roads. Specifically, landslides on the Mugling-Narayanghat road section have caused vehicles to be stranded for hours, making it hard for passengers to reach their destinations on time, as stated by the Federation of Nepalese National Transport Entrepreneurs.
