Pakistan’s Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir has arrived in Tehran along with Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and a high-level delegation, fueling speculation that Pakistan may once again attempt to mediate between the United States and Iran.

The visit comes after earlier rounds of talks between Washington and Tehran, reportedly facilitated in Pakistan, failed to produce results. However, recent developments suggest there may be renewed momentum toward restarting dialogue between the two countries.

At the same time, tensions remain high. Iran has warned that any blockade imposed by the United States could jeopardize the fragile ceasefire, raising concerns about potential escalation.

Earlier this week, U.S. President Donald Trump said in an interview with the New York Post that negotiations between the United States and Iran could resume.

Echoing that possibility, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei stated that although talks collapsed on Sunday, communication between Tehran and Washington is still ongoing through a Pakistani intermediary.

Despite these signals, uncertainty continues over maritime security, particularly regarding the movement of ships through the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global shipping route.
