Kathmandu – The United States has deported 37 Nepali citizens who had entered the country illegally. They are being flown back to Kathmandu on a chartered plane, which will land at Tribhuvan International Airport on Wednesday at 2:30 PM Nepali time.

Most of those deported are between 26 and 30 years old. They were arrested in the US for violating immigration laws because they did not have the required documents. For those without passports, the Nepali Embassy in Washington, D.C. issued temporary travel papers.

Among the deported are two with the surname Basnet, three Bhandari, two Chaudhary, two Kandel, two Khadka, six KC, and three Oli. Others include individuals with the surnames Bishwakarma, Bohara, Acharya, Pun, BK, Gautam, Sherpa, Singh, Subedi, Tamang, Budhathoki, Chhinal, Dangi, Kunwar, Khatri, and Shah.

The US has recently become stricter against people entering illegally, and as a result, more Nepalis are being deported.
