KATHMANDU — More than 400 Nepali entrepreneurs and business leaders have enhanced their business and leadership skills through ScaleUp Nepal, a U.S.-supported entrepreneurship and innovation program that concluded successfully this week.

Organized by the U.S. Embassy in Nepal, the program was supported by the Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund and funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. ScaleUp Nepal reached entrepreneurs across six cities: Kathmandu, Birgunj, Butwal, Pokhara, Surkhet, and Dhangadhi.
The initiative was led by U.S. government exchange alumnus Amit Agrawal, with contributions from private sector experts. More than 400 participants received practical training in key business areas, including artificial intelligence, finance, sales, leadership, and business growth strategies.

The program aimed to equip entrepreneurs with the knowledge and tools needed to strengthen their businesses, adopt innovative technologies, and improve their competitiveness in both domestic and international markets.

ScaleUp Nepal also helped deepen commercial ties between the United States and Nepal by connecting U.S. exchange alumni with Nepali businesses, the American Chamber of Commerce in Nepal, and companies with U.S. business partnerships.

According to the U.S. Embassy, the initiative highlighted American expertise in entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence, fintech, innovation, and ethical business practices while creating new opportunities for trade, investment, and long-term business collaboration between Nepal and the United States.
